Summerville gets even sweeter during National Tourism Week

The Chamber and the Summerville Visitor Center will celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week. Monday through Friday, May 5 – 9, the Visitor Center will distribute goodies, drinks, coupons and other promotional products donated from local merchants to, not only visitors, but also locals that stop in the center. Some of the items that will be given away will be sweet tea cupcakes from Hummingbird Bakery, coffee from Coastal Coffee Roasters, cinnamon rolls from the Holiday Inn Express & Suites – North Charleston, bottled water from Drayton Hall and more. “Every day sweet tea will be served in the center to promote Summerville’s trademark as the Birthplace of Sweet Tea,” said Tina Zimmerman, Director of Tourism for the Chamber. “This is a great opportunity to market Summerville and showcase all the great things our town has to offer.” Make sure to stop by to receive a treat anytime during the week.
