The Real Estate Market in Summerville, SC held steady for the month of September 2014. Two hundred and twenty six (226) homes were sold in the greater Summerville area, which was 13% down from home sales in August. This is indicative of the season versus the market. Things are starting to slow down in home sales due to school starting back up and summer coming to a close. However, even though the number of houses sold was down, the average sales price went up 1 % to $204,142.
There are currently 855 homes on the market in Summerville, which is slightly down from 876 in August. Less inventory on the market means shorter time on the market as well. This held true this month as we saw the “average days on market” number fall to 57 days.
