Magnolia’s “Autumn on the Ashley” Arts and Craft Fair is back! On Saturday & Sunday, October 13th & 14th, dozens of Lowcountry artisans will feature their handcrafted items for sale from 9 am – 5 pm. Featured items include wood carvings, paintings, textiles, jewelry, photography, natural skincare, lawn art and more.
Magnolia will also be hosting an Autumn plant sale in conjunction with the Craft Fair. Stop by to purchase your favorites, including Fall planted bulbs, Fall blooming Camellia Sasanquas, Winter blooming Camellia Japonicas, ferns and much more.
Attendance to the Craft Fair is free of charge. Attendance to Magnolia Gardens requires basic garden admission. Garden admission is $20 for adults and $10 for children 6-12. Children 5 and under are free.
Family Fright Nights at Magnolia Plantation
When: October 19,20,26, &27, 6:00pm – 10:00pm
Where: Magnolia Plantation
Cost: $10 /person, Children under 6 Free/Members Free
This is a family friendly event full of entertainment for all ages where everyone is encouraged to come in costume! Games, treats, tons of candy, face painting, balloon twisting, hay maze, photo booth, costume contests, pony rides, and a fun house will all be part of the excitement. The popular Mad Scientist Lab is also back again this year and will be sure to fright and delight.
Fright Nights will Feature a milder version of our Spooky Train Ride from 6 – 7:30 pm. After 8:00, the Train Ride will be for the more adventurous at heart.

Fun House will be available Oct. 26 & 27 only.
The gates will be open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on October 19th, 20th, 26th & 27th. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes each night.
Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch
When: Now through October 31st
Where: Boone Hall Plantation
Cost: $10/person 2 & under are free
The Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch is open Mon.-Sat., 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sundays, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. through Oct. 31. Kids aged 2 and up cost $10/person Mon-Thurs and $12/person Fri-Sunday. In addition to buying pumpkins by the pound, visitors to the Boone Hall patch can play in a corn maze, jump pillow, giant slide tower, petting zoo, hayrides, tire climb & sandpit area, king of the mountain, spider web, rock climbing wall, corn hole toss, playground fun and a goat walk and rabbit enclosure.
Legare Farms Pumpkin Patch
Where: Legare Farms, Johns Island
Cost: $1/person 2 & under are free
For $1 a person (ages two and up) you can peruse pumpkins at Legare Farms every weekend this month. In addition to pumpkin picking head to the farm for a Nature Quest, a hayride, horse rides, and duck races but they are all “pay as you go.” (See prices) There will be food concessions for sale and a free mini-maze, playground, and barnyard.
Coastal Carolina Fair
Where: Coastal Carolina Fair, Ladson SC
Every year the Coastal Carolina Fair sets up for 11 days and treats the Lowcountry to a variety of fair rides, annual exhibits, fine arts & photography, farm animals and commercial & agricultural vendors and of course…Fair Food!
Scarecrows on the Square & Ghostwalk
When: October 13-27-Scarecrow Display on the Town Square in Summerville

Cost: Free to see the scarecrows, Order Tickets for Ghostwalk
Come see downtown Summerville dressed up with Scarecrows for the season. On Sat, October 20th, the Junior Service League of Summerville’s Annual Ghostwalk Event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. All are invited to dress up in their costumes and meet in Town Square for an evening of fall family fun! In addition to the walking tours, the event will feature entertainment, hayrides, games and plenty of food vendors including Palmetto Sun Kettle Corn, Kona Ice Charleston, Boxcar Betty’s, Lit’l Red Barn Food Truck, pizza, corn dogs, fries, cotton candy and candy apples in the square!
