New Publix in Cane Bay
Publix opened its 12th supermarket in the Lowcountry with a ribbon-cutting at 6:45 a.m. yesterday in lower Berkeley County.
The full-service, 45,600-square-foot grocery store with a pharmacy at 1724 State Rd. in the Market at Cane Bay shopping center will employ about 100 workers. I know the current residents of Cane Bay Plantation , including Del Webb Charleston , are enjoying having the Publix finally open! The Publix is another draw for the Cane Bay area and contributes to the attractiveness of the community.
Del Webb Charleston at Cane Bay Plantation is located in Summerville, in Berkeley County. This area is one of the new “Active Adult” communities going up in our area and promises to be a wonderful community for those looking to relocate to Charleston and enjoy life as they reach their older years.
