Live Music: During welcoming messages Shelby Krallman, Summerville resident and recent graduate of Charleston Southern University, will be singing the National Anthem. Midnight City Band will keep event attendees entertained with live music throughout the evening.

Kid’s Activities: Summerville DREAM, along with various community volunteers, are hosting games and hands-on crafts for children in the Kids Zone. There will also be a Kid’s Inflatables Area, sponsored by Awaken Church, with obstacle courses and slides!

North Charleston – Riverfront Park -3-9:45 pm

The City of North Charleston is once again hosting the July 4th celebration at the Riverfront Park on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 3:00 PM – 9:45 PM. This year’s event features exciting musical guests, children activities, food trucks, craft vendors, and the Lowcountry’s largest 4th of July fireworks show.

The Festival is presented free of charge to the public with all general admission for attendees.  Guests attending the Festival are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets, as there is no seating provided.  Food trucks and ATMs will be widely available. Children activities are available free of charge, including inflatable jump castles, games, the play area, the giant sandbox, and the water fountain.

Goose Creek -Goose Creek Municipal Center 6:30-9:30pm

The City of Goose Creek’s Fourth of July celebration. There will be live music by Calhoun’s Calling, food vendors, kids’ activities, and a fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. provided by Zambelli Fireworks. Parking and admission are free.

Summerville – Red, White & Blue on the Green  in Summerville, SC & Fireworks 
Location: In past years, the festivities have started in Hutchinson Town Square and moved to Gahagan Park, but this year it is all going to be held at Gahagan Park.(515 West Boundary St.) (Fireworks)

Date: Monday, July 4

5:30-9:30 pm . Jerry Blackwell Sports Complex at Gahagan Park will be the center of old-fashioned 4th of July family fun with musical entertainment, games, childrens’ activities, jump castles, and the ever popular patriotic newspaper hats. This is a FREE community event. Fireworks will begin at dusk!

The city of North Charleston always puts on a wonderful show for the residents of North Charleston.

The Festival is presented free of charge to the public with all general admission for attendees.  Guests attending the Festival are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets, as there is no seating provided.  Food trucks and ATMs will be widely available.Children activities are available free of charge, including inflatable jump castles, games, the play area, the giant sandbox, and the water fountain.

Parking

Park at the former Shipwatch Square site at the corner of Rivers and McMillan Avenue, as well as in the former navy hospital parking lot. All parking is FREE, along with shuttle service to the park.

Charleston – Patriot’s Point-Yorktown

The firework display set off in Charleston Harbor is incredible and if you can’t find someone to take you out in a boat, you can watch from Patriots Point! Guests interested in attending the spectacular, patriotic event at Patriots Point are reminded that aside from the parking fee, there is no charge to enjoy the landside celebration.  Guests are encouraged to bring their own seating to set up on the grassy areas alongside the marsh.

Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum will provide live music and entertainment on shore starting at 4 p.m.  Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and jump castles, face painting and other activities will be available for children.   Parking will cost $10 per vehicle for all guests including those who purchase flight deck tickets.

Guests who set up their seating landside are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, coolers and even tents for their areas.  However, all tents must be taken down by 8 p.m. to provide ample viewing of the fireworks for all of those seated landside.

Admission: Free for landside entertainment, Kidz Zone and fireworks.

Directions: I-26 to downtown Charleston. Take Hwy. 17 North, cross the Cooper River Bridge and follow signs to Patriots Point.

Live music from the Dave Landeo Band, free kid’s area, food vendors and a great grand finale fireworks show.  Free parking and free admission. Parking is limited, so try to carpool and arrive early.  No pets, coolers, alcohol or fireworks.

Summerville – Red, White & Blue on the Green  in Summerville, SC & Fireworks 
Location: Hutchinson Town Square (Red, White & Blue on the Green) & Gahagan Sports Complex (515 West Boundary St.) (Fireworks)

Date: Friday, July 4

5-8pm Historic downtown Summerville will be transformed into an Independence Day street festival. Summerville D.R.E.A.M. (Downtown Restoration, Enhancement and management) will be hosting the annual Red, White and Blue on the Green.  This Summerville event features games, face-painting, and jump castles along with a watermelon-eating contest sponsored by businesses and community organizations. Food vendors will be on hand to offer lots of summer favorites for purchase. There will be a costume contest for the best patriotic garb. The winners will help the mayor lead off the annual crowd favorite – our non-motorized parade. Decorated bicycles and wagons as well families parade around the park and the most original and best decorated entrants are awarded prizes.

8pm – The Fireworks for the Summerville crowd will be later in the evening once it is dark, usually around 9pm.  After you enjoy time downtown, head over to Gahagan Sports Complex for the fireworks show.

Directions to the Red, White and Blue on the Green Celebration:  1-26 West to Hwy. 17 South. Take Hwy. 17 South for about 4.5 miles until you reach the center of Summerville, SC at Hutchinson Square.

There will be traditional 4th of July food vendors on site and plenty of activities to keep everybody feeling patriotic, and full!
