What about Living Bethlehem at one of the Summerville churches … I can’t remember the name of the church or the name of the program but just know it is very moving and would like info about place, date and times …. thanks!
Thank you Diane! I meant to link to that as well. Bethany United Methodist offers this to the Town of Summerville every year and it is incredible. Here is the link http://www.livingchristmasstory.com. Thank you again for mentioning it.

Dec.2-4 6:30-9:30pm
I am trying to find a performance of Handle’s Messiah in the Summerville or Charleston area during Christmas 2010. Any information would be appreciated.
Barbara, That’s a great question. I know last year the CSO did a few performances but I have not heard any mention of this for this year. I will post on my blog if I hear of anything.
Hi Barbara,
Well, it’s not all of Handel’s Messiah, but the LowCountry Singing Christmas Tree always includes, at least, one song from Messiah. They always end with the Hallelujah Chorus. Last year, there were a couple of pieces included in their performance. Dates are:
Friday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 PM
Saturday, Dec. 11 at 3 PM and 5:30 PM
Sunday, Dec. 12 at 3 PM and 5:30 PM
Monday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 PM
Updated Description:
Three thousand twinkling lights, a live orchestra, 120 singers of all ages, and a Tree of 30 feet–Dec. 10 marks the first performance of the 21st annual Lowcountry Singing Christmas Tree. Join us this year as we learn that “A Baby Changes Everything.” Tickets are available at http://www.summervillebaptist.org or by calling (843) 873-2440. Seating is available one hour before performance times.
Katie, Great information about the Lowcountry Christmas Singing Tree. Thanks for sharing that. My family has enjoyed the Tree for years! Merry Christmas.
